“ This lady was nothing but great to us. Food was beyond delicious. Her cabbage are cooked with love . We will be back from Mississippi to visa mama Lana! ”
“ Went in there for the first time and loved it, now if you are not ready to be treated with rough Jamaican love, then prepare yourself. This restaurant is small might not be fancy but the food is delicious!!! Will definitely come back. I had oxtail lunch absolutely loved it !! Not even in south Florida I had jamaican food that taste this good. Restaurant inside is like moms and pops place, feel like you are really out of the US. Was going to give 4 stars for that reason, but because is more of the experience I give them 5 ”
“ I ordered a fish and it was cooked to perfection but it took way to long to cook and no one else was ahead of me. But I guess you cant rush a good thing! ”
“ I loved it, me and my husband came in and while it was empty we were greeted and she explained to us their doordash situation and their credit company issues which has leading to them closing doordash entirely and us bringing them cash. They prepared our order as we brought cash we had none on hand. The customer service is great, and very warm, and they talk to you as if youre family. The food was delicious, my husband couldnt stop eating his large oxtail dinner, and I couldnt stop eating my curry chicken and my Jamaican chicken patty! My first experience with Jamaican food and it was perfect. If you dont understand the comfort of a family run business operating that way, you wont understand the way this business operates. Definitely recommend the curry chicken and oxtails! ”
“ I love how it felt as if I was in a family members home. We were treated as if we were family. I had never really tried Jamaican food and I have to say it was so good. Ox tails, jerk chicken and curry chicken all was very tasty. I have a big family so, Mama Lana put something together for us as she said. Delicious food. Amazing atmosphere. ”
“ I found Lanas cooking thanks to Google. I was visiting from out of state, picked up some food, and ate it an hour later at a rest stop. The food was so good, I had to call them back up and thank them. Had the curry goat and the oxtail. I thought the whole experience was a bit funny though. They seemed genuinely surprised when I showed up at the restaurant. They had surely not expected me, even though I had called ahead and wanted to know why I was taking pictures of her restaurant. Maybe, she does not have too many tourists stopping by. I hope that this review changes things. Her food is worth the detour. ”
“ The experience on a whole was fantastic. The atmosphere was brilliant, if you vibe with high energy music. The food was not as spicy as others I have had but had a well seasoned balance of heat and spices. ”
“ I LOVED my experience here. Friendliest establishment I have ever been to. She was very hospitable and full of amazing energy. She gave us all hugs before we left. The food was amazing as well. The food was spicy but the drink she offered us helped with it! The drink was good as well. They have Jamaican music playing while you dine. More people should visit. Im from out of state so unfortunately I wont be able to come back as often as I wish. ”
